I don't know about SVT day but they didn't say anything to me last time out. Ran a bunch of 11.0-11.1's.

The guy at the ticket booth told me that if I went 10.99 I couldn't run any more. I tried to get kicked out, but had no luck with 11.0-11.1's all day. This was during an SVT event.
Does anyone know if you would get kicked out if you ran mid 6's in the 1/8, and backed out for the 1/4?

I don't think you would. Most 1/4 strips could care less what your 1/8th time was.

On regular T&T nights under a 10 they want a cage, but they really don't enforce too many rules. During the track rental though as long as you have a helmet you're good to run pretty much. They don't have much of a tech really. I ran 11.0-11.2 all day long with a 10.80 at the end and they never said a word to me. There was a KB and Whipple cobra out there who were both running 10.70-10.90's all day and they kept on running.

I called Carolina and talked to them today The rules are if you run a 7.1 in the 1/8 mile or 11.00 you are kicked off as the gentleman said no 1/8 mile passes and backing off( I did not even ask) So there is the rules He said there will be a IHRA rep there. Mitch

That's what they've said before to cover themselves, but trust me they DO NOT do tech at all. I've seen several cars that were obviously deep 10 cars not even get checked at the gate, and run those numbers over and over. I ran half a dozen 6.9's and botched the 3-4 shift and coasted to 11.0's - 11.2 before I ran my 10.80 and never had a word said to me.

If you haven't attended before, it's $45 if you register by tonight. After today it's $50. I think the track rental is from 9am-6pm and you can run as often as you like.....

Chris do what you want, but I think that could turn out to be a bad idea. I was going to do the same thing once, but what if I broke. Then there would be 2 people needing a ride home.
Either tow him and not race or let him get his own ride... just my opinion.
Kevin I'd tow you if I could make it, but I doubt I will be able to get off work.

No problem dude I completely agree. My car is more than capable of driving to and from I'm just scared of being broke so far from home. And I'm anal about putting the miles on the car. Mike if you could tow me I'd really appreciate it but I know how your work schedule can be......

Hey Thanks Magoo for the imformation the only thing that got me was when I called and the guy I think his name was Jeff said that there will be no sandbaging if you run a 6 in the 1/8th you will be Banned and I never even asked the Question. SW called and got the same answer unless that is for there IHRA status he said there would be a Rep, there ??? Don't know Oh he also sid it won't be like the past I have never been so I don't know what it was before Mitch TKS

Sounds like BS to me. Last spring there were all kinds of cobras running low to mid 10s in the quarter mile and none of them had cages or roll bars, even the convertables.

I hope they just have to say that for a IHRA sactioned Track.. It would be ashamed to make one run and Done! Magoo We using both are car trailers for the Trucks and Randy Borrowed the Equipment trailor . Bill has a Equipment trailor also but you would have to have very long ramps or a enbamkment Call Him 296-4877

Well I got good news for me today and bad for you . My car might possibly be done by Monday so if that's the case I'll be towing the notch up there . But I will let you know for sure like I said if mine isn't able to go I don't see a problem with towing yours up there . We just might need those nifty ramps that Mitch and Co. use for loading your car .
