Selling for a friend on another forum

Trying to sell the Cobra. Just no time or desire lately to take it. Car needs nothing but a updated tune and should run 8's without much effort. Or drop 2000hp in it and go run with the big dogs.
Wont find a nicer car for the money. 100k has been invested in this one and have all documentation to show.

This is just a quick rundown, can send full list to anyone interested.
03 Cobra 27k miles (body)
All factory metal on the car even the stock hood.
25.2 Chromoly cage currently certified to 6.0
ProLine built 4.6 with freshened heads, stock cams, (NX kit), Skinny Kid motor plates
Meizere water pumps
KB 2.8 Mammoth Kit
Kooks SS 1 7/8 with 3.5 collectors, Kooks 3.5 X -pipe, Magnaflow polished race muffs
coil on plug LS1 coils
16v electric system with 2 XS batteries
BS3 stand alone
165lb injectors
Aeromotive 2000hp Eliminator fuel pump
Neal Chance Limited Street Powerglide (Precision Kwik Shift shifter and co2 bottle)
Custom 9in bolt together Neal Chance Converter, JW flexplate and Bell housing
Custom built 4 link, 9in rear Moser center section and lightweight spool
40 spline gundrilled axles, custom driveshaft, 4.30 gear

This car is setup to say the least, if you know anyone looking to build a race car they could save a tone of money with this one.

Couldn't you put some radials on it and maybe some suspension adjustments and run x275?

i didnt think you could run a 4 link in x275, plus i doubt it would be anywhere near competitive with a 4.6 and a 2.8kb

True. I forgot that the car has 4-link.

+1

I'd get rid of the chute, put an a/c and p/s in it, get rid if the Kenny Flintstone tires and put some radials on it. Then I'd DD it.

It would have to have AC so it could be a street car here in South Carolina, It gets hot here so only race cars don't have AC.

You are correct. No 4 link, no backhalf's in 275. But I am not sure exactly where the car would fit in other than bracket or index. Very nice looking car though.

thats the part that scares me, the way the car is setup it should be well into the 7's and not 9's

Backhalf and 4 link should equal 6's!

Updated 11/5/05
This website has grown far beyond my original intentions of helping the shadetree mechanic in understanding a drag racing suspension in simple terms and diagrams. Initially I wrote this page as a detailed explaination of a Drag Car Suspension using explainations that the do-it-your-selfer can easily understand and do in the driveway with average tools, pencil and paper, etc. Things have changed over the years since this site was published. By the photos on this site you can see the variety of racers that have benifited from the info in this page and for this reason I am updating this site with some explainations that will be different than originally written. There is also information that I still have not gone into due to the complexity of writing it down or creating the diagrams and my goal for this site is to keep this information as simple as possible.
I commonly read on bullitin boards that this site is Only for stock suspension cars or Only for tube chassis cars but in fact the info below is for both types of vehicles. Whether the car is a stock suspension car running 13's down to 7's or a full tube chassis car running 13's down to 7's this info can be used successfully. A stock suspension car that uses 4 trailing arms is a true 4-link and can be treated, plotted, etc, as a true 4-link car so the savy racer looking for an edge can benifit from this information. There are sections below that do separate the different ideas for a Stock Suspension car vs a True 4-link car and the reasoning will be explained below.

Put a different motor in it and run outlaw 10.5 or something. Don't seem to be running too bad for a KB on a 32 valve 4.6. Still waiting on Wes to list his red car. Its a show/race car also very nice..:bigthumb:
