I was told last night that Zacs car was a race car. I just need someone to explain to me how...

The car is: stock cube, stock headed, stock cammed, stock weight (minus a fiberglass hood), stock suspension, turbo, PUMP GAS 93 OCTANE, DRAG RADIAL, tagged, insured, registered, drives 30+ miles to the track ON THE INTERSTATE, and has a small gear in it.

What makes that car a race car? I think it has a lot to do with the fact that its faster than the person crying about the car being a race car.

are you talking about the ladder bar, slicks. gutted car with the 5 something gear?

the person texting doesnt have that, but he did mention something like that.

May have been the same car...let's compare

You said gutted, ladder bar, slicks, and a huge gear.. The one im thinkin of is a high compression, race gas, cant drive on the interstate or fuel up at the pump, race car...

same one??

EXACT same one

oh ok!

He mentioned Zac's car only running 2 weeks and being broke or something about Zac cant get out of the 8s with a broke car.

I ask them to lock in for this Sunday with his car and Zac will be there with his "broke" car

Bet they wont try it out

Are we really going to go through this again ? I mean isn't there an old thread that is 1,558,333,045,885,000,178,789,324,528,648 pages of street versus race car .

A go cart with a big motor is a race car .

We also determined that ANYTHING with a turbo is a race car.

Race car = car at the track

street car = car on the street

street car = car on the street

Agree 100%

To put it another way, as soon as there is a number placed on the car, and it is operated in competition with another vehicle; it is a race car.

Lock it in on a grudge race. Best 2 out of 3 lap through McDonalds Drive thru.

as far as im concerned its a street car, it can be driven anywhere without any problems, i guess someone is just jealous that my street car runs faster than 8's

I guess we've learned two things.... 1. There is always someone faster and 2. There is always someone jealous. That's all it boils down too. Run your own race and don't worry about what people call your vehicle of choice. Win or lose it's all fun in the end.

looks like a street car to me. Ive seen you guys at bowman with the same results. I guess they are just afraid when they see somebody has spent the time and knowledge on a turbo build. Hell a monkey with dyslexia could install no2....... might not be safe but he could do it!

Hey now, I must be one of those monkeys that run nitrous. Not to argue nitrous vs turbo. But one of my builds in the future will consist of going turbo. Right now nitrous is what I am working with. Sure beats being stock that is for sure

Not to be confused no2 is my weapon of choice. Its simplicity is its greatest attribute.

you dont need a turbo for that. maybe a turbo diesel. What about giving the dirtymax the back tire?
