I do not think I would ever buy a car that old with no mileage..It is destined to stay in a museum or garage for the rest of its life. Unless you want to replace ALL seals and what not. That car will break down alot because of parts just slap wore out from not being used. Nice find though

21,000+ wow
I agree with you Hal. Those cars are cool to look at, but that's it.

Its possible that it has been started and ran periodically over the years. The motor may not have any miles on it but it could have hours on it. Theres also the rear end and tranny to worry about though.

Hell, it might be worth that price alone even if it had 100k+ on it with ORIGINAL working ashtray door, ORIGINAL non foxbody lean drivers seat, ORIGINAL working power windows that don't freeze up, ORIGINAL quarter molding that isn't faded and in mint condition and the push button gas door release and This of course is all oem parts never replaced like it came off the showroom floor. And if you want to get picky has a QUIET power steering pump. All parts like it rolled off the showroom lol

If you enlarge the pics and notice the background you can see a silver lightning in one of them.

What kinda ass clown thinks a LX is 21,000. Hell GT's might have sold for that much back then. The LX sold for around 15,000.

well that explains it. only a lightning owner would ask 21,000+ for a 93 mustang. :poke:

Apparently there are a few morons out there. There are 5 bids on the car. Of course, the reserve has not yet been met.

does the ad say if the car even runs?

same thing happened to this car, it was resto'd
then parked for 5 years, now it has more problems than before the resto.
people used to buy the LT1's and collect them,
with the parking brake.
had to get them pulled out of the garage with a wrecker, and towed to the dealer :(

The notch 5.0s are considered a harder find... Had an 85 no option LX 5.0 notch that was pretty much stock and had some cosmetic repairs needed as well as an 89 gt that was in better condition and had about equal amount of mods that I had to get rid of before I came out here. I put them up as "best offer" on CL and ended up getting 3 grand more for the LX. They, in my experiences with foxes, turn a better profit then the GT will..
Espically ones that havent been beat to shit and modded. I agree with everyone on the with the whole not worth the "investment" of 21k+

the notches are considered much lighter & therefore faster.
i had a '90 or so HP car that was a HOT ROD for what it was.
no power nothing, just V8 & 5 speed.
awesome peice of high mileage junk.

Yea, you can go to an NMRA race and find 1 or 2 notches all origional, mint shape cars with 50000 miles or so for 6 to 7k, that would be more my speed. 21,000k plus for one, good luck! But there are bids so there are fools with money out there, they are the same one's that pay the 10,000k stealership mark ups..:bigthumb:
