Here I am in search of a wireless connection and found a cool spot. I'm in Grand Rivers, Kentucky, on a high bluff, overlooking a marina with a nice view of the lake and millions of $$$$ in boats. This is the only place I could pirate a wireless connection. The place I'm staying in is an old lake house with very few amenities, no TV being a big one. I go out for a drive to get a break from the crowd at the house. My wife has called twice since I stopped here. Should've left the cell phone there.

I think I'm ready to head back home now. Are there any cool Lakes on the way back home to SC that anyone has visited? I did bring my POS boat with me, so maybe I'll find some quiet time in the boat. I'll check in later today or tomorrow morning. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Just drive home now and leave the wife there. dont forget to throw the phone out of the window at some point.

I know there are alot of really nice lakes in Kentucky but I dont know the names of them. Im talking DEEP crystal clear ice cold water lakes.

You know I'm too electronically challenged to post pictures. I may get something posted when I get back.

I'm at the intesection of Kentucky Lake and Barkley Lake. I never imagined that the boats here would be nearly as big as they are in the Charleston Harbor and surrounding areas. They 100+ footers are in covered slips in the marinas.

There is a canal that connects the two lakes, and I am overlooking it right now. The barges that they push are up to 12 large barges at once. I would guess that they are 500-700 feet long from one end to the other. I looked down into the locks where they pass from the river and there is less than 5 feet to spare on each side.
