This guy wants to swap hoods with me. he said he'll give me his cowl hood which is in good conditon for my stock hood. do you think this is a good swap? i gotta meet him at south of the border. let me know what you guys think!

I would jump all over it, specially if there is no need to repaint. I wish I could find a deal like that for the Silverado...

i have a ecsb hood if you want to trade silver. same color as yours. lol
OP. I like the hood. Same hood I had on my ole 96 s-10.

I don't see why not
JMO; if that hood is heavier than the stock hood I wouldn't do it. I know 10-20 lbs probably won't make much difference, I just don't think the looks are worth it.
With that said the other hood does look good.

Lightning hoods are made of Aluminum, and most fiberglass hoods weigh more than the stock hood. Just a thought. Fiberglass hoods have problems cracking too. I haven't had one yet not crack in in the corners or the peaks.

yeah its a steel hood. my truck i'm creating more for a show truck. i'm still rebuilding the motor and everything but won't be hitting the track much. so i'm going mor for looks then weight reduction.
