I have seen some of you mention it before. What kind of condition can i expect if i order something from here?
I had a little accident today in my truck that requires a new mirror for the drivers side. If I order it from FORD, it's $860. LKQ has them for $450.
I appreciate any feedback.

we use them from time to time for things like that. things usually are in decent quality and as for through our shop they will take care of it if something is wrong with the part. it really depends on the year of the vehc so for a newer one things should be in about the same quality as yours on your vehc before it was broke. all in all they are pretty good to deal with

Call Townsley Ford in Great Bear lake Minnesota. They advertise on SVT performance. Talk to Steve or Mike M. in parts. They are the largest Ford parts distributor in the USA. I am talking brand new oem Ford parts for roughly half the price of what the dealers around here want. Occasionally one of my guys will mess up a new Crown Vic police car tail light putting in a strobe, and thats who I call for the replacement. Plus I can't remember how many millions of dollars worth of inventory they keep in stock. They probably have all your parts in stock, and they would be at your door in 3 or so days, unless you want to pay the extra freight. I am finishing up a 99 Cobra clutch for a guy, and paid 189.00 for a new Ford clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing, same clutch as the 03-04 terminator Cobra's. If you cannot find their number give me a call sometime, I have it in my computer at the office..:bigthumb:

LKQ is a pull it yourself place.I have bought a few things there for my sons Nissan p/u and have been more than pleased with the price.Be sure if you go to take the tools you need to pull the part.

Wes is talking about ordering online.

the online parts are fairly expensive.

but the local LKQ down on Rivers is PICKED over.

you basically have to go every few days, or watch for their "new arrivals" postings on CList to get good stuff.

door panels for a mustang, took me a month to get a set from there.
just HAPPENED to get there the day after a mustang arrived, it was still up front.

BUT, local parts are VERY cheap

door panels were ~$10 each

there are two sides to LKQ there is the older cars (forget yrs) thats on the you pick a part side and then there are the newer years that LKQ (only) will do all the parts removal for you.
