Someone told me there was a show tomorrow locally (11-7-09) sponsored by the Mustang Club. Not sure where though. Anyone know about this
Did not see anything in the Events Section (which is where I should have posted this as well).

I helped judge that show before. All they look at is how clean your car is.

its a points show. you get points for vehicle documentation, MCA sticker and how clean it is. I've seen where hey will check door jambs and insoide fenderwells. I use to belong to the mustang club in Pensacola Fl. where MCA started. It is the oldest MCA club, Gulf Coast Regional Mustang Club. they also hold the regional show every year in Pensacola which is a 3 day event..
Bottom line, if you go, clean, clean, clean, and clean some more. being a 2010 you have a real good chance on winning a class but your also going up against the buddy system too.

Thanks for the info. I would like to go, but do not feel right taking a new car there, since I have not done squat to it. But I'm not going to try and win anything, rather to meet some Ford guys and to maybe gain some knowledge about this Shelby. Talked with Magoo today and he schooled me on a few things about it. Seems like it will be easy to add some more HP to it. :cheers

it doesn't matter if your car is new. most of the cars at that show will be how Henry built them. MCA shows are mustangs in their "stockness" I actually think they frown at you if you modded it. You would be ok there. You might have to wipe drool off every now and then but thats ok. You'll meet a lot of, well even though they are FORD guys/gals, good people. You have fun. weather should be great tomorrow too.

buddy system for sure because there was three of us judging the class I had and one of the guys with us was in the mustang club. One of the cars we judged was a buddy of his and I thought he should of got second but he got first. Thats why I dont enter my car in car shows because its all on who you know thats there. I always thought they should let the spectators judge the show.

It is not like the local show's. Everyone that enters judges. Buddy system will kill you every time.....At least at judged show's. You only have a couple of judges.
