Ever been really proud of your car Or truck.. what ever. Whats the story of the most proud you have ever been, been able to "rub it in" a little.. etc.. another thread on another board I am on got me thinking about this. Heres mine.

A few years ago I had a 96 F-150. 302 auto, 2wd.

Only suspension mods were sway bars from a mid 90's 1 ton 4x4 (BIG SWAY BARS) and wheels and tires.

I used the truck to haul the lawn equipment, trailer ..you name it. I had a 20 ft tandem trailer with 2 foot sides behind the truck to get mulch. I got to the mulch place (John Deere place in my home town) told them I wanted mulch but didnt know how much.

I told the guy the truck and trailer I had he said I could get 4 scoops and be full. I said well lets see if we can get a little more. He started loading. He put 4 scoops on the trailer and told me to go in and pay. I told him I wasnt finished and to start loading the truck. He put 1 scoop in and asked if I was done.. I asked for one more.. so 4 scoops on the trailer, 2 on the truck.. I said whoa. The guy parked his little bob cat and told me he has been loading mulch for a few years there. He said he had a new Z-71 (at the time) and he would never load it like that.

I just told him to get a real truck and then he could. Only thing that ever went bad on that truck was the trans. I had to rebuild it at 180xxx miles because the reverse sprag messed up...I used that truck like a 1 ton 4x4 many times and it never talked back once. It was funny. The transmission blew up when I was moving about 20 mph leaving a buddies house. Hardly made it out of the driveway.

Waffle House at 430 AM due to my freshly built 302 ranger sittin at 6k rpms for like 5 minutes straight, laid over on its side til it finally broke an axle.....The best part is there was no break in on the motor and it had less than 1000 miles on it before this, and that pos cranked up the next mornin still on its side, never lost oil pressure, and only got to like 220 on the temp once! Dont know about proud, but definitely the most shocking thing ive ever had happen vehicle wise. I was sure that id be rebuilding the motor after that bs.

I got laid in my vinyl-roofed '76 Volare sedan.

The passenger door didn't open because I had previously crunched the fender into the door.

She couldn't get away.

well besides winning races in my race car my proudest moment in my 2003 f-250 4 DOOR.
notice i said 4 DOOR. Was when i first got it. My dad told me to go into town and "break it it" i said ok. So i went strait to the girlfriends house! She came outside to look at my new truck, she was tellin me how nice and BIG it was and she wanted to drive it. i obviously didnt catch the part when she was talking about my new truck. so i ask her if she wanted to go for a ride so she got in a we cut around moncks corner and we pulled into what is now MY SECRET SPOT in town. we pulled in and parked and great goodness. When we got done i was like wholy shit i done knocked off my first peice in my new truck i thought i was the baddest mother fucker around. i dropt her off back at her house and i was so proud of my new truck, i was rubbing the dash board saying thats my girl. i was so proud of my new truck. thats about the most proud moment ive had with my truck. ps dont tell dad ive tried it out in his Z71 to but the f-250 works the best lol

when i bought my first car at 18yrs old, a '96 saleen s281 speedster, flew in to nashville and picked it up, drove it home the same day through the mountains ect...it was the best car related feeling in the world for me, and not a bad car to have as the first car you buy for yourself.

on the total flip side of proudest...i'd say blowing my '01 s281sc up at carolina dragway, and that sinking feeling in my stomach that i was in over my head payment wise in that car, and now i had to build a modular motor of all things, but i ran a mid 12 in it blowing up 100 feet from the finish line...sad part is magoo still whooped my ass by a second lol

We built a 96 gmc short bed for my brother. It had a 400 sbc with vortec heads a very small cam. Couldnt even hear it. It ran 8.2's all day long on motor on 87. I have towed a friend of mines race car to the track with it. Droped the trailer then ran the truck all night. Then towed the car back home for him. I have out ran an old I-roc on the inerstate while I was pulling a golf cart on a trailer. Best pass for the truck was 7.65 AT 92 spinning like hell. with a 150 shot. That truck was fun. It looked and sounded like a old farm truck. Had a tool box in the back, a primered fender, stock ralley wheels and working AC.
