Hey guys, we haven't had a Lightning GTG in a long time in the Carolinas. I remember one year we had trucks and vehicles from as far as VA and it was about 60 vehicles. I am going to post this up on NLOC and will come back here and post up what people say and get suggestions from you guys. I have been itching for a GTG for a while now especially from coming back home from overseas in Afghanistan. I know it is hard because of people's schedules and other misc. things that pop up. Thanks Ronnie!!

Sounds like a good idea. My truck is down right now, but I'd come and hang out.

Why don't you guy's try and meet up at Myrtle Beach for Mustang Week.

Not to nit pick, but "Mustang" Week is just that---A week for Mustangs. In my opinion, it would be slightly brash to plan another gathering (Lightning or otherwise) at the same time, in the same town, attending the same events. That would be like getting a big group of Civic owners to go up for Bike Week. Well, maybe not that far off; but close. Perhaps a different time/place sort of thing could be set up. You know, start meeting up at a test-and-tune day at a track somewhere; and hang out as a group. Invite L's from all around the Southeast. Maybe even set up sort of a "show" area for the folks who don't race their trucks. You never know->That's how big events get started in the first place. I am sure that the guys in Sturgis weren't sitting around a table having a few beers trying to devise a way to get a few thousand bikers together. It started out small, then got huge.

I guess what I am trying to say is: Be a pioneer. Go out and try something new. Hell, maybe even come up with something new. Maybe everyone will be talking about the big "Horsepower Week in Carolina" in a few years.

My unwanted .02,
Shaun

Every year there are a bunch of Lightnings at mustang week. I went a few times as a matter of fact. One of the event organizers is Rodcobra who owns a mystic color Lightning. It has never been a problem in the past.
